Dispersed Alarms

Goldshield is a market leader in the design and installation of social alarm systems in the UK and can provide a dispersed alarm solution for both individual and grouped applications.

As the Government focuses more and more on the issue of the UK's rapidly growing ageing population and exerts increasing pressure on local authorities and support services to reduce costs - this is reflected in the growth of the UK social alarms sector.

Dispersed alarms in general, provide a greater degree of independence and peace of mind for elderly and vulnerable people living in their own homes. Falls and injuries are a major concern for the elderly in particular. The consequences can be serious and distressing so it is important to establish a social alarm system which ensures that help is always at hand - 24/7, 365 days a year - at the push of a button. The dispersed alarm systems from Goldshield deliver a long-term, cost-effective and reliable solution.

Two of the most advanced dispersed alarms available on the market today are the Sayphone 21 and the Sayphone V2 'At Home Alarm' units. These units plug into a mains socket and standard telephone outlet and the resident is provided with a pendant transmitter - worn as a brooch, wrist or neck trigger. The transmitter, or a button on the Sayphone unit itself, can initiate calls to a central station, if help is required.

Compatible with the full range of Altec telecare and telehealth peripherals (using EN300 220-2 (2007) Class 1 receivers) Goldshield's dispersed alarm systems are supported by the recently ratified and TSA endorsed BS 8521 protocol.
